WE ONLY LIVE ONCE AND WE NEED TO MAKE THE MOST OF IT
In today’s LEGEND LIFE STORY interview I will be sharing my interview with Paula Reid who has sailed around the World 35000 miles, the wrong way, skied from the coast of Antarctica (Messner) to the South Pole: One of only 13 women in the world to do this. Paula has also cycled across 12 Countries in Europe; paddled 300 miles in dugout canoe: Srepok & Mekong rivers, Cambodia; kayaked the Thames; walked the length of the United Kingdom; lived among the hidden tribes of West Papua and Dayaks of Kalimantan. As you can see Paula has pulled off some epic adventures in the past but she has much more planned and for her next adventure she is tackling a 3000 mile nonstop row across the Northern Atlantic with a team of mothers.
Paula is also a trainer, facilitator and coach as well as a speaker and the author of four books including “Live Life to the Full”. She also has a masters in Positive Psychology and is an Adventure Psychologist. Paula has her own “Living Life to the Full List” and has done over 117 ‘things’ that she most wanted to do before she dies. She says they help her to breathe and feel alive and know that when she is drawing her last breath, it will be with no regrets.
In our interview we talk about how Paula got started as an adventurer, some of her adventures, and what motivates her. We also talk about her new business in Adventure Psychology and how a little struggle, getting out of those comfort zones, is key to growth and feeling alive. She also shares what living a legendary life, her best life means to her, her advice to other’s over 40 and three life lessons she has learned in life. I hope you are as inspired by Paula’s story as I was.
