In September 2023, myself and Neil Laughton, penny farthing cyclist will begin a challenging and inspiring 700-kilometer journey across Ukraine, all in the name of charity. Over the course of 10 days, the team will pedal from the Black Sea port city of Odesa to the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, raising money and awareness for Siobhans Trust.
This extraordinary undertaking aims to shed light on the work undertaken by Siobhans Trust (www.siobhanstrust.uk) who provide support, solidarity and pizzas to IDPs in Ukraine.
With a strong commitment to helping Ukrainians, Paula, who has already cycled across 16 countries and volunteered in Ukraine for Siobhans Trust, has chosen this unique cycling expedition as a means to generate awareness and financial aid for the Trust. Each mile conquered will serve as a symbol of resilience and determination for those who remain in Ukraine.

I hope that my efforts will inspire others to fundraise or volunteer. Not only that, I hope that the locals I meet along the way will see me and find some strength or solace in my presence”.
